We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Pre-Sales Sales Engineer to work with the Sales Team to sell state of the art Enterprise Class Security Solutions. In this position you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced competitive sales environment with world-class sales managers, customers, and cutting-edge data security technology on a daily basis.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties include:
Complete software demonstrations and presentation of our Business Intelligence/Mobile platform with demonstrations that range from standard to custom demonstrations
Implement entire suite of our software in rapid deployment and proof of concept scenarios where customers or prospects evaluate in a live or development environment
Constantly learn and develop expertise in our software
Deliver free Introduction to Business Intelligence course to clients on a quarterly basis and actively attract attendees to this event
Maintain regular communication with all clients
Arrange and conduct face-to-face client meetings on a regular basis
Generate referrals and leads for our professional services
Travel varies by geographic territory, but can be up to 25%. On occasion, proofs-of-concept can be held at customer locations causing volatility in this travel expectation
This role demands individuals who are self-motivated and who are comfortable and responsible in a position that grants autonomy
Must be able to achieve success with little management or guidance
Proven or demonstrably outstanding presentation skills
Proven or demonstrably outstanding speaking and writing skills
Ability to articulate complex topics to novice or technical audience
Ability to translate technical advantages into business benefits
Polished and professional in both appearance, personal interaction, and all communications
Demonstrable understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and comfort with SQL
BS/BA Degree in MIS, Computer Science or technical field or equivalent experience
3-5 years experience in a customer facing role, whether sales, training or other
Experience with Business Intelligence systems or relational database management systems a major plus
Experience in an equivalent role for a technology firm a major plus
Proficiency in technologies which are complementary to our software a plus, particularly: .NET or JSP, Java, UNIX or Linux, Windows, Security, XML/XSL, DHTML
